Zev Tilson
Zev Tilson is the Founder and CEO of iQtec, where he leads client technology strategy and long-term direction.
With over two decades of experience across IT consulting, managed services, cloud and security, Zev has built iQtec on a clear belief: technology should simplify how businesses operate, not complicate it. From the beginning, his focus has been on understanding how organisations actually work, then designing IT environments that support growth, resilience and performance.
Zev is a forward-thinking technologist with a strong commercial mindset. He works closely with clients to align IT investment with business goals, guide transformation initiatives, and prepare organisations for what’s next, including cloud maturity, cybersecurity resilience and emerging automation. Today, he continues to shape iQtec’s Managed Intelligence approach, ensuring strategy, systems and people move forward together.

How iQtec came to be
iQtec Consulting was founded in Melbourne, Australia by Zev Tilson, focused on IT strategy and hands-on support for small and mid-sized businesses.
iQtec introduced a structured Managed Services Program, shifting clients from reactive support to proactive monitoring and maintenance. Strategic partnerships were formed with vendors including Microsoft, HP and Cisco, expanding capability and access to emerging technologies.Â
As client needs evolved, iQtec expanded into cloud migration for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, alongside stronger cybersecurity services. Audits, compliance support and endpoint protection became core offerings, positioning iQtec as a trusted, end-to-end IT partner.
As iQtec grew with enterprise-grade clients, our services matured to support complex environments and organisations with higher operational and security requirements.Â
iQtec extended operations beyond Australia, supporting clients across New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and later Luxembourg, delivering consistent service across multiple regions.Â

This role is ideal for early-career IT professionals who want to build strong fundamentals in cloud platforms, end-user support and modern security practices.
You’ll work closely with senior engineers to support client environments, resolve day-to-day issues and develop your capability across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and managed cloud tools.
What you’ll be responsible forÂ
- Providing remote support for desktops, mobile devices and cloud services
- Troubleshooting user, device and connectivity issues
- Managing users, permissions and security settings in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Performing routine maintenance, patching and system checks
- Documenting work clearly in our ticketing and knowledge systems
- Escalating issues appropriately and learning from complex cases
What we’re looking forÂ
- 3+ years total IT experience, including at least 2 years in an MSPÂ
- Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
- Solid Windows and macOS troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with RMM or MDM tools such as Datto RMM or Intune
- Clear communication, curiosity and a strong service mindset

This is a senior, hands-on role for experienced IT engineers who can lead complex technical work, mentor others and take ownership of client environments.
You’ll act as a senior escalation point while shaping how managed cloud, security and support services are delivered across our client base.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Acting as Tier 3 escalation for complex technical issues
- Designing, administering and optimising Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments
- Implementing and maintaining security controls, including EDR/XDR, email security and MFA
- Leading security and compliance initiatives aligned to Essential 8, SMB1001 and NIST CSF
- Managing and improving our MSP tool stack (Autotask, Datto RMM, SentinelOne, Proofpoint and more)
- Supporting cloud, migration and security projects end to end
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical standards and documentation
What we’re looking for
- 10+ years total IT experience, including 5+ years in an MSP environment
- Advanced expertise in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, including security and compliance
- Strong understanding of SMB cybersecurity best practices
- Experience with networking, cloud platforms and virtual environments
- Confidence operating as a trusted technical authority for clients and internal teams
